This is different than us chamber of commerce lawsuit where Judge Howell claims it was legal deferring it to executive power given to POTUS. It appears Sorokins focus was on this being used as a tax and Howel focused on this being an entry fee. Let’s see if the goverment appeals.With Mass and DC not seeing eye to eye, seems like government will indeed file an appeal. That being said let’s see if it makes a material difference to hiring. It probably won’t. AI and Capex are just leading to opportunities dwindling. Honestly perhaps this will lead to actual real laws being passed by congress changing h1b. TC 220K

Court will overturn the Mass liberal judge. For the record they didn't say it was illegal. They said it is a tax and congress owns creating taxes. Another Supreme Court ruling in 3,2,1....

It will not matter next year. They are raising wage levels for everything. Most of entry level will be priced out of market

Intel, I saw that proposed rule. It bumps up the wages for everyone but at least in Seattle it looked like everyone who is sde 2 or higher would still qualify. Idk about bay area. But you bring up a good point

Damage has already been for this year's lottery, for next year Trump will change the 100k fee structure a bit and do it again.

There has been no damage this year. The lottery was oversubscribed this year as well. We have a robust cohort of 85k+ H-1B applications this year.

Folks...if they wanted to....if it was feasible...if they simply could....it would have been canceled. Perhaps, some of your Parents or Grandparents who immigrated and had to beg, borrow and steal to get to a certain point... feel inferior when a foreigner becomes more successful, pretty quickly....but this is the nature of the US. Innovation and progress happens here more than anywhere else in the world...and immigration as a growth engine didn't begin with H1B and won't end with it. In fact, a lot of the employees in tech in US are much more valuable than the average joe irrespective of their immigration status. Your govt will be a good boy and keep it largely the same, but will make some big headlines to show that some fraudsters were removed 😁

Its rightfully a big F U in the faces of MAGA tech workers who thought suppressing legal competition is the way to cope with their incompetence to crack interviews. Compete in a level playing field is the right way to go.
